November 6, 2007

It's hard to believe that a month has passed since I last wrote here.

There have been few changes with Mark's condition over the past month. He's still waiting approval for therapy. He did have a couple of the therapists at the nursing home come in and do an evaluation last week, so we'll pray that's a positive sign.

Last week Mark went for an EEG. The EEG was ordered because of the seizure he had a few weeks ago. He was supposed to have seen a neurologist on Monday but that was cancelled due to an emergency that called the doctor away.

The family is seeking people who will come in during mealtime with Mark. He doesn't really like going to the dining room alone. The family would like it if friends could stop in during mealtime to just sit with Mark in the dining room. Please contact Chris or Robin (Mark's sisters) if you are able to help out. A calendar is being put together.

Please continue with your thoughts and prayers. And send cards when you can. Mark loves receiving your kind thoughts. Or better yet, stop in and see him. He loves visitors. Recently I was there when some former neighbors stopped in. It was so good to see Mark smile and hear him laugh.

Thank you all for who you are.

Laura Lyster
