It was a good day for Mark. He passed his swallow test and had "solid food". It consisted of carrots and mashed potatos & gravy, and juice. He really didn't think that it was worthy of being labeled solid food.
Just prior to my visit with him, he had been sitting in his "chair" for just shy of two hours. He was pretty tired out after getting back into bed but was waiting for my visit. He wanted to sing the Philmont Hymn. Then as he was drifting off to sleep began singing his favorite repeat after me song - The Bear.
He has enjoyed reading and looking at the cards that have been sent. We hope you will continue to send cards with well wishes.
The Southwest Michigan Rehab Center in Battle Creek is very nice. The family believes he will like being there for his next step in his care.
Thank you for all that you are doing to help him through this time in his life.
