Another day has passed and it's now in the wee hours of October 15.
Mark was somewhat unresponsive when I came in at noon on Wednesday. He could make eye to eye contact briefly to acknowledge our presence. His breathing remains shallow and heart beat fast.
When I returned about 6:30, Brian had him watching "Follow Me Boys" on my laptop. He was much more aware of his surroundings. He was even recognizing the Disney music that was playing.
Kate, a friend of Eric's brought dinner for everyone. Thank you Kate!
Eric arrived about 10:30 PM. Mark was happy to see him. We are waiting for Grant & Krystal to arrive from Washington DC.
Several people dropped in today to visit Mark. We appreciate the love and support from all of our friends!
Pray for his quiet passing into the next life...

I cannot express the love I feel for you and the heartache that all of your siblings feel for our brave and courageous brother. It is an unfairness of life that must be endured. You are amazing, Mark! Your fight continues in the bleakest of hours. I know that you want to speak so badly, and I believe that you will before your time is done. I know that you love us all. You are the master of all scouts - kind, loyal, loving and giving. Most of your thoughts during the last 2 1/2 have been how you could help others. Dear Mark,
As a member of the Loy Norrix High School Class of 1971 I want to express my love and concern for you. You are a courageous person and a class act in every sense of the word. I want you to know that I'm praying for you. Know that God loves you and is with you each day and every hour. Know that he is conforting you during your illness. My wife Pam and I will be in Kalamazoo from November 22nd thru November 28th. I will make every effort to come and visit you sometime during that period of time. I remember you best as a high school classmate who could everything well and did it without fanfare or announcement. Go Knights!! Please take care and Bye for now.
